The Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge encourages children and students to read a set number of books over the year and record their efforts online. Since the Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge began more than 4.3 million young Victorians have read more than 60 million books!
Through the Challenge Noble Park Primary School is encouraging out students to read as much as they can, discovering new ideas and interests. For young readers each years Challenge invites parent/carers to read 40 books with their child over the next 6 months. This supports families to share special moments together.
Children from Prep to Year 2 are encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30 books with their parents and teachers.
Children from Year 3 to Year 10 are challenged to read 15 books.
All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers.
Parents and carers are encouraged to visit the official Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge Facebook page and join the community of participants. You can share stories, stay informed and celebrate your child’s journey through the Challenge.
